HypnoBirthing® Childbirth Education Classes by a Certified HypnoBirthing® Practitioner
HypnoBirthing®, The Mongan Method, is considered the “Gold Standard” of birthing with hypnosis. It is a childbirth education method that empowers parents to achieve easier, more comfortable births. It is both a philosophy and a set of tools for using self-hypnosis techniques and scripts to achieve a focused awareness and level of relaxation that allows for a much more comfortable, easy birth. With HypnoBirthing you will not be in a trance or sleep state. You will be aware and fully in control, but profoundly relaxed.
Although we have been conditioned to expect pain in childbirth, there is no physiological reason for this to occur. The pain is a result of the fear-tension-pain cycle. This HypnoBirthing course will help you release fear-based beliefs and misinformation, which will allow your body to open gently and easily. Furthermore, you will learn breathing, relaxation, deepening, and visualization tools to place your mind and body in a state of calm and control, instead of a place of fear. Over the five-week course, you will learn to trust that your body knows how to bring your baby into the world in the calm and gentle way that nature intended. Just as important, you and your birth companion will learn to trust your instincts and intuition, which should serve you well in parenting effectively and in many other areas of your life. - Gives the birthing companion an integral role in the birthing
- Embraces the concept of pre-birth parenting
- Teaches breathing techniques that allow the birthing person to gently breathe her baby into the world without the violence of hard, physical pushing
