Thoughts? I've celebrated a lot of joyful hypnobirths, even from mother's that did not intentionally put the time and work in to the practice prenatally. I feel some balance and moderation in anything is best, but if considering it as a prenatal course most will tell you it's something that takes commitment. I've also seen the other side of what new parents may scoff or scold as a hypnobirthing gone bad, or have heard "why didn't anybody tell me?". Providers often have very strong thoughts about this sort of education or method and I've seen the whole gamet - a preceptor who basically mandated it for the psych reasons (and saw amazing results) and others that strongly suggest it's not for parents ever in any situation. So much of it, like with any other childbirth education class if seeking it prenatally is based on the instructor, and we have some great ones in the area. I think women are smart enough to explore and think for themselves either way :). I like this write-up anyway, enjoy.
